I have questions about the software update packs

have they ever been on sale?

will they ever be on sale?

do they make such a big difference?
do you people think they are worth it, even at this high cost?

i would be interested to hear opinions

I would say that; if you need the features, the cost is very reasonable.

Developers need an incentive to bring us awesome technology.

I don't remember exactly, but it looks like the current prices are the same as (or close to) the last sale price.  They used to be considerably higher.

Yes, the feature packs have been on sale at discounted prices many times before and probably will be again at some point. For what its worth I have the complete pack and went via the upgrade path and saved 2 out of 3 times so keep an eye out. Also the packs are very good and make so much more of the guitar. Being able to program any tuning you desire, instant switching of tunings and models and I mean instant. The 12 string is awesome and the acoustic models also shine.  You will not regret upgrading. No I don't work for Antares.
